What is AMG
One man, one engine.
AMG began in 1967 as a small engine workshop in Großaspach, founded by Hans-Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher. Today, hundreds of specialists work in Affalterbach on race cars and road cars, and every technician builds their engine from start to finish — alone, by hand. The plaque with his signature on the engine block is not marketing, it is a promise: one man, one engine.
